We are always looking for good tutors in all subjects and grade levels. There is a particular demand for the following tutors:
Our goal is to provide qualified tutors to help students to achieve their best. We attempt to match student availability and needs with tutors in their area. Most of our tutors are currently certified, or have been certified to teach, and have several years' experience, but other qualifications are considered. The minimum requirement is a Bachelor's degree.
If you think you are qualified and would like to apply, please complete the application form. It can be sent by e-mail or mailed to the address on the contact page. A Criminal History and Sex Offender Check is required for all tutors, unless you began employment with a Virginia school district after 1995, or have a copy of a completed police check.
A Criminal History and Sex Offender Check can be obtained from the Virginia State Police by going to the forms section of www.virginiatrooper.org and completing SP-167. The State Police only charge $20 for this service, and now accept credit cards. Have it sent to yourself, and your signature must be notarized as both the Subject and as the Requester. Please send a copy of the returned SP-167 to complete your application.
